The Workforce Solutions East Texas Employer Services Team is designed to provide a coordinated response to the needs of employers while maintaining a working relationship between the Centers, the Workforce Solutions Board and the business community. Employer Services is at the forefront of the one-stop center activity because of the work-first philosophy mandated by state legislation. The Workforce Solutions system is an employer-driven system. It is the team’s mission to provide a single point of contact to address employer and job seeker needs within each center.

The Employer Services Unit concept grows out of the realization that a local approach is required to adequately address the needs of employer customers. It can also play a significant role in economic development activities through its primary activity of serving new and existing employers in this labor market.

The Team is responsible for the following functions of the Workforce Solutions with the Workforce Solutions Board:

  • Employer customer relations
  • Job Posting Taking
  • Job Posting Filling
  • Rapid Response
  • Work Activities (OJT, Work Experience, etc.)
  • Work Opportunity Tax Credit
